The Scottish breakfast was amazing, especially the haggis! Staff were super friendly too. Just a minor issue with the shower controls being tricky. enjoyed my stay! 🥰

We had such a warm welcome, and even though the restaurant was closed, they kindly whipped up a meal for us, which was delicious! The hotel is super dog friendly, which made it perfect for our two chihuahuas. The private parking was a big win. The only small downside was the slight wear and tear of the room, but it didn't take away from our great experience, so definitely give this place a try! 🐾

Perfect for a quick stay
Spent one night while in Dumfries for a wedding. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food portions were big! The room was clean but felt a bit outdated. The shower was nice and hot, which was a plus. There’s nearby parking, but the hallways could use some love for sure.

definitely coming here again
Had a nice stay in a single room. It was clean and comfortable, with a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and cozy carpets. The private bathroom had a lovely walk-in shower, and I enjoyed the complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was great, with options like fresh juices and warm croissants. Staff were super friendly. Perfectly located near shops and the train station.

spotlessly clean rooms, ongoing refurbishments, dog-friendly environment
Shower lacks hot water and adequate pressure!!! Rooms feel dated, making upgrades essential!!! The noise from seagulls can be quite disruptive, keep windows shut for peace!!!

excellent base for exploring local attractions and park views
i just spent one night here and it was a fantastic experience with clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff, making it the perfect spot for my city strolls and easy access to attractions like the annandale distillery less than 2 km away and the beautiful rspb campfield marsh nature reserve less than 5 km from the hotel.

Some bathroom fixtures need updates for easier access.

Located conveniently near local amenities and offers a private hotel car park out back, which is a rare find in town. The food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and the Scottish breakfast hits the spot, nice to start the day with a hearty meal.
The corridors and rooms show wear. chipped paint and old carpets give it a tired feel that could use some love. The bed comfort ranges from questionable to outright uncomfortable, particularly if you prefer a firmer mattress. In the bathroom, the shower setup can leave you wrestling with temperature control, something you might find annoying. Plus, be prepared for some challenges navigating the rear car park if it storms—it can get pretty puddly. it’s functional but not flashy.

I really loved the atmosphere at Queensberry Arms. The staff made me feel right at home. My room looked fresh and clean, and having a kettle for tea was a nice touch. Breakfast delivered a variety of options, including a delicious Scottish breakfast. The location is perfect for exploring local attractions. the shower controls were a hassle to turn, and the mattress wasn't the most comfortable. A little updating is needed in the bathroom fixtures. Despite these small issues, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and appreciated the attention of the staff.
